Phone numbers
How numbers reach you
Voxy provisions phone numbers for your workspace on demand across a wide range of countries. You browse what is available, pick a number, and bind it to one of your agents — no carrier paperwork on your side.
Verification first
Most countries require identity and business verification before a number can be assigned. Before your first number, upload:
- Government-issued photo ID (front + back)
- Company registration document (tax/VAT ID where applicable)
- Authorization letter signed by the responsible party
Verification is typically reviewed within one business day. If anything is missing, you will get a reason and can re-upload at no cost.
Getting a number
At /workspace/phone-numbers → “Browse” you see available numbers with their monthly price. Click “Get”:
- The number is reserved exclusively for your workspace.
- It counts toward your plan's dedicated-number allowance.
- Voice routing is configured automatically.
- The number is live within a few seconds.
Binding to an agent
Open the number detail page and pick an agent from the dropdown. Any inbound call to that number is now handled by the chosen agent's prompt, voice, knowledge base, and tools. Re-binding is instant.
Releasing a number
Click “Release” on the number detail page. The number is returned, and billing for it stops at the end of the current cycle (no proration). Inbound routing for that number is removed immediately.
